2017 ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP FOR THE 3RD ANNUAL NELLIS CREECH MILITARY, VETERANS & FIRST RESPONDERS

Opening Ceremonies to Feature a Special Tribute by Vegas PBS to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

(LAS VEGAS, NV ) Craig Ranch Regional Park located at 628 W Craig Road, North Las Vegas will be transformed into a festival atmosphere with food, music and good vibes as we celebrate the sacrifices and dedication of the men and women who serve our country and will pay tribute to all active and retired military personnel, first responders and their immediate families. As part of its “Thank You Celebration,” free lunch will be provided to all attendees. All guests must bring their valid first responder identification, military identification or veteran’s card.

A special “Welcome Home” tribute to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War will honor and thank Vietnam veterans and their families for their service and sacrifices Vietnam Veterans will be presented with 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coins.

The FREE EVENT Music lineup is stacked with stellar names including:

  • Rob Garrett, America's most popular and requested Neil Diamond tribute act, Neil Diamond he is one of Rock/Pop music’s biggest selling artists, recently concluded his "50th Anniversary Tour" and for some unknown reason, opted to bypass Las Vegas on this particular tour to the disenchantment of many of his fans. However for Las Vegas residents, Rob Garrett has been their hometown ‘Neil Diamond’ for the last 22 years.

  • Mama’s Wranglers are the Jackson Family Band & Cloggers out of Las Vegas, Nevada. They have performed in 49 states, Canada, and Europe and on average do over 280 shows a year! The children range in age from 14-24. They sing in 4-part harmonies, dance up a storm with clogging and play a variety of instruments including: Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, Mandolin and more!

  • Mr. Entertainment Phil Flowers is an American performer, now living in Las Vegas, Phil has shared the stage with countless first-rate performers, including Aretha Franklin, Céline Dion, Patti Labelle, Oleta Adams, Jeffery Osborne, The Beach Boys, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Platters, The Drifters, The Coasters, Clint Holmes, The Whispers, Billy Paul, Tom Jones and many more. Following the September 11th tragedy, Flowers was asked to write a song dedicated to the victims of the attack, performing his stirring tribute “Standing Tall” in New York City’s Central Park. Flowers starred in the Las Vegas Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert, which featured the national debut of the song he wrote for the event, “Help Is on the Way” and his performance on September 9th will be dedicated to the families in Texas affected by hurricane Harvey.

  • Sons of Soul – They feature an eclectic mix contemporary R&B and funk favorites. The trio of "Doc" Ken Young, Reggie "Smooth" Gonzales, & "Big Sexy" Bruce Williamson Jr. Together have formed a musical brotherhood over the years. Ken has performed with the legendary Gladys Knight, Bruce Williamson performed with The Temptations and Reggie performed with Rhydmn Nation.

  • Gregg Austin M-Town & More will showcase the Motown sound that dramatically changed American music and influenced the world. With superstars such as The Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, The Supremes, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson, and Marvin Gaye, Gregg Austin M-Town will bring that sound to Craig Ranch Park.

This FREE event is open to the public and the fun kicks off at 11:00 a.m. at Craig Ranch Regional Park, located at 628 W Craig Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89032. (Commerce/Craig Road entrance). The entire community is invited to attend.

Armed Forces and Military Veterans Appreciation Inc. (AFMVA) was established in 2014 to carry out its mission of support and assistance. Our goal is to provide help in the areas of job connection, education, relocation, and transition from active duty to civilian life alongside our North Las Vegas Veterans Community Commission. On June 15, 2016, North Las Vegas mayor and council adopted a resolution that will now honor those who have lost their lives, along with our active military who have and continue to serve our country. They will be honored every second Saturday in the month of September of each year.
