
(North Las Vegas, NV) - Armed Forces and Military Veterans Appreciation Inc., a local nonprofit organization in partnership with the City of North Las Vegas, today announces their 2nd annual Nellis Creech Military Appreciation day.
The event will recognize the sacrifices and dedication of the men and women who serve and will pay tribute to all active and retired military personnel, first responders and their immediate families. As part of its “Thank You Celebration,” free lunch will be provided for all current and past military members, first responders and their families. All guests must bring their valid first responder identification, military identification or veteran’s card.
There will be an array of vendors from throughout the community to lend their support. The celebration will feature live music, vendors, a kid’s zone and interactive displays for the entire community. A food truck village will also be set up for the public.
The fun kicks off from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10th at Craig Ranch Regional Park, 628 W Craig Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89030.
The Nellis/Creech Appreciation Day celebration is provided by generous sponsors who include: The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, Aliante Hotel and Casino, Station Casinos, USO, Signature Real Estate Group, Puliz Moving and Storage, North Vista Hospital, Republic Services, Poker Palace Casino,Carrington Mortgage and Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group. Media partners, Periwinkle Media Group, Veterans Reporter and Base Blast are also sponsoring this event. Entertainment will be coordinated by Jamerson Holloway.

Our goal is to be available to provide help in areas of job connection, education, relocation, and transition from active duty to civilian life; working through our North Las Vegas Veterans Community Commission. On June 15, 2016, North Las Vegas mayor and council, adopted a resolution that will now honor those who lost their lives, along with our military who have and continue to serve our country every second Saturday during the month of September.
